Expedited review is appropriate only in cases that involve minimal risk to research subjects. The sensitive nature of the questions being asked in the proposed project, in this case dealing with sexuality, raise the risks of participation in the study to a higher level. A regular panel review, rather than an expedited review, is therefore more appropriate.
