Your Stanford Card is not only your identification card, but also an electronic key and a debit card allowing you to easily enter facilities or use services for which you have privileges. For example, you can use your card to:

  • access campus facilities such as your dormitory and libraries
  • dine in University residential dining halls
  • obtain student health services
  • pay for your books at the Stanford Bookstore
  • use campus copiers, network printing devices, and residence laundry machines
  • purchase tickets for athletic events
  • buy food, goods, and services at a variety of campus locations (such as the Treehouse, Jamba Juice, Moon Bean's Cafe, the Coffee House, and Sterns Cyber Café)

New students must sign up for a Stanford Card; forms are sent to new students prior to their arrival. You may also visit the Stanford Card Office at 632 Serra Street. For more information on obtaining a card, or for a copy of the sign-up form, click on Campus Card, or call the Stanford Card Office at 498-2273.
