Dr. Humberto Brito is returning to Stanford as visiting lecturer from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Portugal where he lectures in the Portuguese and Lusophone Studies Department. He received his B.A. in Lingustics and his PhD in Literary Theory from the Universitdad de Lisboa. He then received the Primeiras Teses, a national award for the best dissertation in Literary Studies. Dr. Brito is the co-editor of Forma de Vida, an online journal and has edited three books. He is currently authoring Pessoa Obliquo, a book of essays on Fernando Pessoa. He has also been involved in organizing the annual Colloquium of the Philosophy and Literature Network since its inception.
