BIO:

I graduated from Stanford in 1990 with a B.A. in Slavic Languages and Literatures.

I went to St. Petersburg for a semester from August to December 1990.

I got my master's degree in Slavic Linguistics at Harvard in 1993.

Then I transferred to the Linguistics Department (at Harvard) and got my Ph.D. in Linguistics (functional syntax and pragmatics) in 2001.

I moved back to Korea in 2003 and have been teaching in the Department of English at Dongduk Women's University since then.

I am married (my husband also teaches at a university in Korea) and have 2 daughters. The older one is now attending high school in New Jersey, and the younger one is turning 3 in September 2012.
