"The Pragmatics of Insignificance" (on Chekhov, Zoshchenko, and Gogol)
 
Taught at Dartmouth as an Instructor and then Assistant Professor from 1983-1986.
 
Currently Jesse and George Siegel Professor in the Humanities and Professor of Russian at Columbia University.
