opera and film class

I will mention this during our discussion today, but wanted to post some links for you. Doris Dorrie (umlaut on the o) is a German filmmaker who has been staging operas over the past 8 years or so. I saw her Cosi fan tutte in Berlin and it was great.

Her stagings are really interesting I think, and seem to be successful transformations across cultural lines....
