Opera After Freud

The Opera After Freud Research Unit is concerned with the study of fin-de-siècle opera from the perspective of Freudian psychoanalysis. At present, the group is planning a conference on the topic, in which both scholars of German opera and Freud will discuss Freud’s impact on operatic plots, as well as the post-Wagnerians turn away from psychoanalysis.
