Film Screening: Marco Ferreri's "Dillinger è morto/ Dillinger is Dead" (1968)
Please join the DLCL for a screening of Marco Ferreri's "Dillinger è morto/ Dillinger is Dead" (1968)! This film is a part of the DLCL Film Series: Images of America - German Cinema and Beyond. Join us every Wednesday from April 3rd to June 5th for a new film.
In the tradition of surrealism, as well as of the theatre of the absurd, Marco Ferreri sets up this one man chamber play with the French film star Michel Piccoli. Bored from his daily routines the main character Glauco gradually escapes into his fantasies. The film can be read as a cinematic statement against the American genre cinema.
