VLADIMIR SOROKIN (b. 1955) is the “resident genius” of late-Soviet and contemporary Russian fiction.

Sorokin performed a reading of his recent novel, Day of the Oprichnik, on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 in Pigott Hall on the Stanford University campus.  Sponsored by the Division of Literatures, Cultures, and Languages.
