Coterminal Master’s Degree in
Russian, East European & Eurasian Studies
Stanford undergraduates in the junior or senior year may apply for a coterminal bachelor's/master's degrees. This generally entails an additional year of study at Stanford beyond the usual four years.
Admission standards for coterms are the same as for external applicants to the REEES M.A. program, including the 3-year minimum of area language study completed prior to the coterm year. Coterms are also expected to have already completed significant coursework in the area and explain how continued study of REEES at Stanford will benefit them academically and/or professionally. Coterminal candidates are required to take the GRE and submit 3 letters of recommendation, a statement of purpose, transcripts, and a writing sample.
