This web site has been designed to describe the results of three different studies relating to college students and online commerce that we conducted. These studies were conducted by current Stanford students for a class on online rhetoric, and are divided into three sections.

Online Purchasing
Sara Hernandez, sbhv@stanford.edu

The first study was conducted by Sara Hernandez and it focuses on why Stanford students purchase more online than the general public.

File Sharing
Nicholas Miyake, nfm02@stanford.edu

The second study, conducted by Nicholas Miyake, focuses on file sharing habits of students and the rhetoric they use to describe their activities, comparing and contrasting it to the rhetoric used by copyright holders.

Music Services
Hazella Bowmani, zedster@stanford.edu

The study conducted by Hazella Bowmani focuses on the current situation of the music industry, how the RIAA is reacting to the situation and some possible solutions to the current conflict.
