Announcements for Public Policy 101
Friday, June 1 The take home final is now posted here. It is due Monday, June 11,
3:30PM, Encina Hall West, Room 317.
Thursday, May 24 After class today, we will have a BBQ
at Lake Lagunita.
Thursday, May 17 Assignment Two is now posted. The first
part (which requires posting a description of a Representative to Panfora is due May 24, and the final essay is due May 31. Post
the description under the topic "Representatives".
Thursday, May 17. Exams were handed back today in
lecture. The grading scale is here. If you
did not pick up your exam, the exams will be outside of Shawn Treier's
office (Encina West 317) today. On Friday and Saturday, you can pick up
the exam from Professor Brady at his office (Knight Building 314). He is
available 8AM to noon on Friday, and Saturday 9AM to
noon.
Tuesday, May 1. TA office hours are posted here. The structure of the exam (as explained in
the review session) is here.
Thursday, April 26 The review session for the final
exam will be Sunday at 7PM, in room 02, building 200
(history). There is a take-home question for the midterm, due the day of
the exam. The question can be downloaded here
Tuesday, April 17 The Thursday sections will both meet
in the same room, GSB South 162, this week (April 19th), since Shawn Treier is out of
town.
Saturday, April 14:This is just a reminder. Panfora, the online
forum, is running. There are two topics posted, one on California Energy
Crisis, and one on Scrubbers. Professor Brady has been checking the California
Energy Crisis topic, to see if there were any questions for him on the
California Energy Crisis.The California Energy Crisis homework is due Tuesday, April 24.
Also, remember to read the Scrubbers case,
and be prepared to discuss the four questions in class.
Thursday, April 12: The reading and questions for next
Tuesday on Scrubbers are posted here. You are
supposed to read this one page summary of the problem, and be prepared to
discuss the four questions in class at the bottom of the page.
Wednesday,April 11: The assignment is posted here.
Tuesday, April 10: Sections start meeting today. If
you have not signed up for section, email Shawn Treier at satreier@stanford.edu
with the following information: Name,
year, major, e-mail, SUID, and section preferences. Or, you can drop the
following form in Shawn's mailbox,
in Encina West, fourth floor. Directions are here.
Note, six of the eight sections are held in GSB-South, in rooms 161 and
162. These are outside classrooms, located in the courtyard facing
Memorial Auditorium.
Monday, April 9: A page on the the California Energy Crisis is now
up. The page contains links to readings and other web sites of interest.
The online forum is also up, and can be reached at http://panfora.stanford.edu/polisci101p.
Saturday, April 7: Section assignments have been
revised. Thursday's class notes have been posted on the lecture notes page.

Tuesday, April 2: The class has been moved permanently
