EVALUATION

There are many aspects of each student's performance in this class that are purely subjective. In addition, we would like to encourage students to experiment with new ideas without the risk of being "graded." Therefore, there are many assignments that are open-ended that do not receive a formal grade. However, they are required. Credit is given for completing the assignments. Missed or clearly inadequate work will result in a lower grade for the course.

This course is highly experiential. Therefore, students are required to attend all classes and to participate actively. It is nearly impossible to make up classroom work that has been missed. If you need to miss a class please contact the teaching team in advance.

There are two long-term projects for this course:
A) A final team project on an innovative organization
B) An individual "creativity portfolio" which will be turned in at the last class

The final grade for the class will be calculated as follows:

  • 25% for attendance and class participation
  • 25% homework
  • 25% for the creativity portfolio
  • 25% for the final team project
