COURSE SUMMARY
MS&E 272 will teach prospective general managers of entrepreneurial companies how to make the financial decisions involved with building high-risk, high-growth new enterprises. It will also prepare these students to deal with the various financing resources available to these same enterprises, including venture capitalists, investment bankers, and other financial stakeholders.

PREREQUISITES
Basic accounting (MS&E 140 or equivalent) and finance (MS&E 245E or equivalent) are highly recommended. Engineering students who have completed these courses or equivalents will be given priority in enrollment in the class.

ENROLLMENT
The class is open to graduate engineering students, MBAs, and graduate medical and law school students. The course is 3 units.

An admission application is due during the first class period. This will be used to determine the final class list. An admissions file has been added to the Enrollment section of this web site. Please fill this out prior to the first class.

CLASS SCHEDULE
This class will be held on Tuesdays from 3:15 - 5:15 pm in Thorton 110 .

AUDITING
No auditors will be allowed in this class. All students must register for course credit.
