Math 41 Section Assignments

Discussion section meetings begin Tuesday, September 22, so please choose your section assignment immediately. Lectures start Monday, September 21.

Registration for discussion sections (for non-ACE students) is required in order to receive credit for written work. The process is an additional step to complete, after joining the course on Axess and subsequently gaining access to the Math 41 CourseWork site. The process works as follows:

Choose the Tuesday-Thursday time which fits your schedule, among the four possible time slots listed below. It does not matter which MWF lecture you attend.
Sign into CourseWork and register for your choice of section. If there is no more room, you must choose another section. Please also note that we are not using Axess to choose discussion sections.
You will only receive credit for written work (homework, exams) turned into your section leader. It is your responsibility to turn your work in to the correct section leader.

Note that on Axess, you have also registered for "section" 01, 05, 11, or 12; these are not discussion sections, but are the lectures. (Lectures meet MWF; number 01 meets at 11am in 200-002, number 05 meets at 1:15pm in 380-380C, number 11 meets at 10am in 380-380C, and number 12 meets at 2:15pm in 370-370.) The table above pertains to discussion sections, which are not administered through Axess.

Students in the ACE program should register for Math 41A on Axess, and attend whichever MWF lecture is most convenient. The ACE section meets at 1:15-3:05pm Tuesday and Thursday in Herrin T195; sections are led by . (At this point, you do not have to register for the ACE section if you are already registered for the ACE lecture.)
