• N. americanus found mainly in the Americas and Australia
• A. duodenale found mainly in Middle East, North Africa and Southern Europe
• Both species are found in Asia, the Americas and Africa [F]

• Due to increasing exposure of people to various parts of the world, the two genera's geographic boundaries will likely disappear
