Treatment

Clearly, the first therapeutic measure is surgical removal of the parasite if necessary. However, in most cases, no treatment is necessary because humans are a dead-end host. The best thing a physician can do is to assure the patient and treat the symptoms. If condition persists or worsens, 400mg of Albendazole administered twice daily for 21 days will kill the worms.
