This artwork
was done by Yasmin Hernandez for the El Frente: U.S. Latinas Under
Attack and Fighting Back conference organized by Paula Moya, Helena
María Viramontes and Vilma Santiago-Irrizarry at Cornell University
in 1995. At the time, Yasmin was an undergraduate member of the Sigma
Lambda Upsilon/Señoritas Latinas Unidas Sorority, Inc., the Cornell
University chapter of which was central to the success of the El
Frente conference.
