Course Outline
Experimental and theoretical applications of neural networks to cognitive
memory, pattern recognition, speech recognition, and self-learning
adaptive control systems. Original theoretical and expeimental research
projects in electrical engineering and biomedical
engineering. Continuation of projects begun in EE373A.
Topics include:
- Adaptive threshold elements
- Feedforward layered networks
- Madaline rules
- Backpropagation algorithm for neural networks
- Optimal decision making
- Learning with a critic
- Adaptive gaming
- RBF networks and SVMs
Prerequisite: EE373A (or permission of instructor)
