There is no required course text. The text \emph{Introduction to Probability}
by D. Bertsekas and J. Tsitsiklis is recommended. Lecture notes will

| Homework
|
Homework is assigned each Thursday and due the following Thursday
by 5pm.
You are allowed and encouraged to work on the homework in small
groups, but you must write your own homework to hand in.
Late homework will not be accepted.

Midterm examination:
Tuesday, 11 February, 2:15-3:40pm.
Closed book/notes except for one sheet (two sides) of personal notes.
Final examination:
Monday, 15 March, 3:30-6:30pm.

|
No laptop or cell phone use allowed during class, review sessions, and exams.
You are responsible for knowing what transpires in class even if you do not attend.
You are expected to take exams with the class at the scheduled
times. Exceptions are made only for medical or personal emergency and
they must be arranged as far in advance as possible.
