CS 244E: Low-Power Wireless Networking

In this assigment, you'll get up to speed using TinyOS and Telos motes by writing an implementation of a subset of the 6lowpan proposed standard. Links for getting up and running with TinyOS:

These documents will be very useful in completing the assignment:

• Current draft of the 6lowpan standard

• TEP 116 (Packet Protocols)
• TEP 125 (TinyOS 802.15.4 Frames)

In this assignment, as part of a group you will add mesh routing to 6lowpan, enabling multihop end-to-end delivery.

This assignment is a proposal for the final project. You may either do one of two standard projects (low-power 6lowpan rate control or fragmentation/assembly) or a project of your choice.

Your handin for your project is a 6 page paper describing your work. The paper should clearly state the problem you tried to solve, the approaches you used, the technical challenges in those approaches, your results, how it builds on prior work, and areas of future work.
