(11/04) Exam location: Jordan Hall 420-040 (if your student ID ends
with an ODD digit), Gates B01 (if your student ID ends with an EVEN
digit). The exam is open books, notes; no computers, or communication
devices are allowed.

(11/02) Midterm exam study materials: lecture notes 1 - 5
(including advice on applying machine learning slides), problem set 1-2
solutions and section notes 1-4.

In the third discussion session this Friday (10/09), we will cover Matlab.
We will have extra office hours next week: Sunday 7-9pm (10/11/09), Monday
5-7pm (10/12/09), Tuesday 5-7pm (10/13/09) and Wednesday
(10/14/09). See more details for locations. There
will be extra
office hours in the future during weeks when
problem sets are due.

Starting 10/2, the discussion sessions will be held in Skilling Auditorium
at 4.15 - 5.05pm. In the second session (10/2), we will give a brief
review of Matlab and probability theory.
