CS224U Homework 12

We hope you're immersed in your project right now. On Thursday, we'll have a project workshop focused on evaluation. This homework is designed to get you thinking creatively about evaluation methods related to your project. The Resnik & Lin 2010 paper discusses several different kinds of evaluation:

Your tasks:

  1. Select at least three of the eight kinds of evaluation listed above. For each, define it briefly, and explain how it might be applied to your final project. (Don't worry, your answers to this homework don't commit you to anything for the final project. It's OK to change your mind later. The idea for now is to get you thinking.)
  2. For one of the methods you choose, provide the reference information for a precedent, that is, a project like yours that used the same method.

For this homework, final project teams can make a single, joint submission, which should bear the names of all team members.
