Announcements
- (July 8) Dan's office hours will be moved this week from Wednesday to Thursday 1-3PM in CoHo.
- (July 7) Class will not meet today because Robyn is sick.
- (July 6) Because we did not adequately cover the concept
of countability, we've decided to make PS1 problem 4f ("T/F:
There are countably many regular languages.") optional.
- (July 3) Robyn's office hours today (Thursday) have been moved up to 5-7PM, and
will still be held in CoHo.
- (July 2) Problem set #1, problem #5, part (a) has been changed to be
easier and clearer. It now more precisely
defines the language as drawn from the binary alphabet, and dependent on the number of positions separating
the two zeros. Also, the number of positions has now changed from 3 to 2, to make the conversion to DFA a less
laborious process.
- (July 2) Dan will be holding section every Tuesday in Gates B03 from 3:15
to 4:05. The first problem session was recorded and can be found on the SCPD
website.
- (June 25) You must enroll for this class using Axess to get onto our mailing list and have an entry in the grades spreadsheet. If for some reason this presents a problem, please get in touch with the course staff immediately.
