The housing in Santiago definitely characterizes this highly populated city. Various apartment complexes, some with a unique style, spread throughout the Northeastern end of the city. Santiago’s mix of historic and modern buildings is also reflected in the mixture of houses with classical and neo-classical forms next to more modern apartment complexes. Housing in Providencia, Las Condes, and Vitacura—some of the wealthier communities in Santiago—is ideally located within close proximity to the high skilled employment facilities, government sector, and modern infrastructure of Santiago.
