Students can request to listen to lessons on tape by going to the first
floor of Meyer Library. Students must first determine the library
reference number of the audio tapes that accompany the lessons in their
workbook by look them up in the binders adjacent to the front desk.
Stanford students can also make legal personal copies of these tapes. Just
take several blank cassettes with you to the second floor where you can
manually copy them, or drop them off at the second-floor counter to have
the library staff do it for you.
NOTE: (1) You should determine
beforehand if you will need to use 60 or 90-minute tapes. (2) Library
tape-copy requests may take a few days to be filled. On the otherhand, the
second floor has a special speed-recorder for manual student
copying. (Approximate time for duplicating a 90-minute tape, both sides
is 3-5 minutes.)
