Learning HTML
Do it yourself
There are numerous HTML guides and tutorials on the web.
-
Quick little HTML template. Use this if you want to get a web page up quickly and learn the basics later.
-
Guides and tutorials from Yahoo. A whole page full of links.
-
Barebones guide to HTML: Not really bare bones, but decent. Click the "Bare Bones Guide" link on the upper left.
Once you have a pretty good idea what's going on, go to other peoples'
sites, see what you like, and model your code upon theirs. The "view
source" option on your browser -- it's on every browser -- is your
new best friend. Copy the code, paste it, experiment with it, and modify
it to do more precisely what you want. Then start doing it on your own.
