Welcome Stanford Graduate Student!
If you have a question but don't know what office to contact for assistance, make your first stop the Graduate Student Information Center. This center is in operation during the opening month of school from Friay August 30 to Friday September 27, 2002. The center provides general information about administrative, academic, and student life issues. If we don't know the answer to your question, we will contact the appropriate department and obtain the information for you or put you in touch with the best resource. We are here to make the opening days of autumn term a little easier for you.

  In addition to helpful information, the center offers:

  Square Bullet Computers connected to Axess (Stanford's online administrative system) and the web.
  Square Bullet Maps of the campus.
  Square Bullet Pamphlets on Stanford, government, and community resources.

Graduate Student Handbook, a compendium of information about University policies, requirements, and resources relevant to all Stanford graduate students.

Student Information, a directory of academic information, campus resources, research information, residential life, and student activities.

Graduate Student Council, the graduate student government web site with announcements, upcoming events, useful links, a list of area dentists, and other information pertinent to graduate students.

Graduate Student Programming Board, a student-run organization that sponsors events for all graduate students campus-wide.

There are a number of programs and offices on campus that relate to an array of interests and needs. The Vice-Provost for Student Affairs's office is the administrative home for many of these programs, so go search the Website... you should find some of your specific interests represented here.

       

Prospective Students:
The Graduate Student Information Center serves enrolled students. Prospective students should visit the Stanford University Graduate Admissions web page for admissions information and application requests.
