My main research interests are in the economic and legal history of the hellenistic world. In addition to editing documents from Egypt, my main research projects in 2007-2008 are two monographs, one on Ptolemaic state formation in historical perspective and a second edited volume on legal sources from Egypt and their value for legal history. Within the next two years I am working on a textbook on Egyptian history and a general monograph on the Ptolemaic economy and its relationships to other Hellenistic economies.
