Andy Dendas, MS, ATC, CSCS, enters his first season as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for football and men’s crew.

Coach Dendas has been coaching and teaching for the past ten years. Prior to Stanford, Andy served as the Senior Director of Training for Fit To Go Studios, a high performance and personal training studio in El Dorado Hills, California. In addition, Coach Dendas worked as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Humboldt State University, The University of San Diego, and most notably, for seven years at Oregon State University. At Oregon State, he worked with softball, baseball, and football. During this time, OSU won the 2001 Fiesta Bowl, went to five bowl games in six seasons, and won the 2006 Baseball College World Series National Championship.

Coach Dendas holds national certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA). Coach Dendas graduated from Humboldt State University with a Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in athletic training (1997) and a Masters of Science Degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in strength and conditioning (1999).

Andy is married to the former Jeanne King and they have two daughters Katelyn (6/26/00), and Ashleigh (4/24/03).
