I am a doctoral student, advised by Professor Bernd Girod, in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Stanford University. I am affiliated with the Information Systems Laboratory and the Max Planck Center for Visual Computing and Communication. My research interests are in the areas of video compression and media security, with a focus on the application of distributed compression and machine learning algorithms. I have won Best Student Paper Award on two occasions: 2006 IEEE Workshop on Multimedia Signal Processing (MMSP), and 2007 European Signal Processing Conference. I hold a B.A.Sc. in Engineering Science from the University of Toronto, and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford.
