Research Interests

Biomechanical modeling and computer simulation of human movement in orthopaedic medicine, rehabilitation, and sports. Pathomechanics and correction of movement abnormalities in persons with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal disorders. Effects of bone deformities on musculoskeletal function.

 

Dr. Arnold joined the BME Division at Stanford University in December 1999. She has conducted biomechanics research in a range of academic laboratories, clinical centers, and sports venues, including:

- The Sensory-Motor Performance Program, Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago

- The Newman Laboratory for Biomechanics & Human Rehabilitation, MIT

- The USOC Sports Science & Technology Division, Colorado Springs, CO

- The Biomechanics Laboratory, Warren Grant Magnusen Clinical Center, NIH

- The Burke Rehabilitation Center, White Plains, NY
