Michel Serres: Topics in French Lit, Philosophy, and Humanities

Welcome and thank you for joining our website. This site has been designed for you to post any questions or comments you might have on the topics of French Literature, Philosophy, and the Humanities. When you post your questions, please identify yourself with an S for student or an A for auditor. We would also greatly appreciate if you could compose your questions in French, which is always good practice, but if you prefer not to, we can translate them.

Michel Serres will try his best to answer your questions in the seminar he teaches during the Winter and Spring Terms at Stanford University (FRENLIT 293). Should you not be able to attend the seminar, we will also post the answers on this website, and they will eventually be the object of a later publication.

This website goes beyond the objectives of a seminar. We are truly interested in your questions and comments, therefore this weblog will remain active as long as you continue to share them with us.

Michel Serres is a faculty member at Stanford University as well as a member of l'Académie Française. He is also a world renowned scholar and author.

Audrey Calefas is a PhD candidate in the department of French and Italian.
She has enjoyed working with Michel Serres for the last 2 years.
